  • I have noticed a full body transformation. Prior to Pilates, I had lower back pain and needed to wear orthotics on my feet daily. My lower back pain has diminished entirely and I have stopped using my orthotics. Now, my entire body feels lean and strong and I even have better posture. I have additionally toned my entire body and have lost many inches.

  • Trainer, Roy Yates Horse Training Inc.

The exercises are amazing - small changes can make such a huge difference and there are so many exercises working every part of the body. Caren is a fantastic instructor with so much knowledge and experience. She has such a well trained eye and she can see what needs done.

    Jen Hibpshman,
  • Since starting classes with Caren, my balance and coordination have improved. After a class, I have more energy. When I remember to breathe as Caren has taught us, I am able to better focus on tasks at hand, plus it helps put me in the right state of mind to deal with any stressful situations at work.

Caren is a well-trained and experienced teacher who inspires her students to try things they never thought possible.

    Marna C,

Pilates is a system of movement and precise exercises created by German-born athlete and physical therapy pioneer, Joseph H. Pilates in the 1920’s. He called this system “Contrology” and believed in the attainment and maintenance of a uniformly developed body and a sound mind. The Pilates method of exercise educates, repatterns, realigns and balances the body. It promotes maximum muscle strength while increasing flexibility, coordination and stamina. Pilates also decompresses your joints and consequently stimulates and improves circulation.

  • Improved posture and body awareness
  • Core Strength (abdominals and low back)
  • Improved balance and coordination
  • Enhanced breathing and circulation
  • Promotes uniform development
  • Increased vitality and energy
  • Decompression of joints
  • Integration
  • Precise, flowing movement
  • Improved flexibility

Whether you are getting into shape, recovering from an injury, enhancing your sports technique or just looking for an interesting new fitness routine, then Pilates is for you!

Should I take private lessons or group classes?

It is best to take private lessons to learn the technique, breathing and movements before joining a group. Pilates exercises are meant to be done with precision and attention to detail in order to receive the maximum benefits. Both private instruction and group classes are available at Core Connections Pilates Studio.
